Carabella's Lexington, C.D.X.

"Louis"

May 29, 1990 - September 15, 2005

(CH Geistvoll Jato x CH Carabella Freya)

PVSSC OBEDIENCE DOG OF THE YEAR -- 1996

Louis loved to go places and do things. He finished his C.D. obedience title in three shows. He placed third in a large Open A class at Mattaponi Kennel Club in Virginia, for the first leg of his C.D.X. obedience title. He was always so enthusiastic and happy in the ring people liked to watch him train and show.

One of our happiest times was when at the age of ten Louis came out of retirement to show at four fall obedience trials, three times in Veterans and once in Veteran's Open. He always got a placement. In Veteran's Open he placed second, behind a retired O.T.CH dog. He was so pleased and proud of himself just to be out working again. He loved to be in the ring and have people clap for him!

Louis also liked to track and we had many happy times trekking about while I tried to learn how to teach this great outdoors activity. He did better than I did, but we didn't finish his TD, tracking title. My fault entirely!

Louis was a "certified puppy sitter" and helped raise four litters of Windsong puppies. He will be greatly missed by many people and several Standard Schnauzers.

He was a brave and noble soul,
gentle and kind, loved by all.

  CH Carabella's Joy, C.D.X.

Joy was the foundation bitch for Windsong Standard Schnauzers. She was a PVSSC Specialty Winner's Bitch, Specialty Brood Bitch, BOB winner,

and Obedience Trial High Scoring Working Dog. She was owner-handled to her titles.

CH Carabella's Joy, C.D.X.

(CH Charisma Cafe Diable x CH Carabella Daisy-a-day)

February 13, 1989 -- March 26, 2004

Among her many accomplishments, Joy finished her championship with a five-point major at a Specialty. She was always owner-handled. She won several Specialty Brood Bitch classes. She was the High Scoring dog from the Working Group at a local obedience trial. She was pictured in two national magazines.

Joy was the mother of two champions, both of whom have gone on to produce champions and are Standard Schnauzer Club of America Leading Producers.

Her daughter, CH Windsong Spicy Megan, C.D.X. looks much like her, and her grandson, CH Windsong Irish Harper, C.D. has her self-confidence and wonderful, steady temperament. Her young granddaughter, CH Windsong Daydream Believer (Livia), reminds me of Joy, also. I am so grateful to have them; they are a comfort and a blessing.

Joy was sweet, loving, and enjoyed life. No dog was ever more loved or will be more greatly missed. She was a joy every day of her life, and will be so forever. Fifteen years is a long time; it was her life, and a very big chapter in my life.
